Job Description / Duties

STAGE MANAGER (May 13 – September 1, 2024 - 16 weeks) (possible extension to September 22, 2024)
• Mentorship of a Production Assistant (as ASM) may be part of the duties of this position.

STAGE MANAGER (May 20-September 1, 2024 - 15 weeks)
• Mentorship of a Production Assistant (as ASM) may be part of the duties of this position.

CREW CHIEF/ASSISTANT CARPENTER/PROPS PERSON (1 POSITION) (May 13-September 1, 2024 – 16 weeks)
• This position will work with the theatre’s Head Carpenter.
• Mentorship of Production Assistants will be part of the duties of this position.

HEAD OF WARDROBE (May 13-July 28, 2024 – 11 weeks) (possible extension to September 1, 2024)
• This position includes head of wardrobe tasks, but there are no other wardrobe department staff. Mentorship of Production Assistants will be part of the duties of this position.
• This position may include an in-house costume design.

HEAD OF LIGHTING (May 13-September 1, 2024 – 16 weeks)
• This position includes head of lighting tasks, but there are no other lighting department staff. Mentorship of Production Assistants will be part of the duties of this position.
• This position may include an in-house lighting design.

HEAD OF SOUND (May 13-September 1, 2024 – 16 weeks)
• This position includes head of sound tasks, but there are no other sound department staff. Mentorship of Production Assistants will be part of the duties of this position.
• This position may include an in-house sound design.
• This position requires live mixing skills and experience.

Qualifications / Required Skills

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED (for all positions above)
• Theatre professionals with 1-2 years experience for the discipline to which they are applying.
• Exceptional post-secondary theatre students will be considered.
• punctuality, good work ethic, solid theatre skills, strong interpersonal skills, physically capable of the work required, willingness to learn new skills, willingness to work as a member of a team

Additional Information

BENEFITS
NL Fall Protection and Aerial Lift certification (required) is offered/paid by the theatre for carpentry, lighting, sound, and production assistant positions.

The theatre offers return travel (by the most economical method), and shared housing (with a modest housing fee and housing deposit) for contracted company members that are from outside the Cow Head and Surrounding Area.

Salary: $640.00-$700.00/week (40 hrs/week) (salary depends on position and experience)
