 The Canadian Conference of the Arts
in partnership with the
University of Ottawa’s Centre on Governance, 
the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Continuing Education
and the School of Political Studies
invite you to attend the next installment of the cultural forum series, 
Thinking Culture.

Culture and Sustainable Communities

This session will provide insight into the evolution of an increasingly important issue on Canada’s cultural landscape. 

Come and join us for an overview of the conceptual issues facing municipalities working to integrate culture into sustainability plans, along with a brief discussion about how Agenda 21 for Culture is unfolding in European cities. Closer to home, attendees will gain an understanding of Quebec municipalities’ experience implementing Agenda 21 for Culture.

The Thinking Culture series is presented by the Canadian Conference of the Arts in collaboration with the University of Ottawa’s Centre on Governance, Centre for Continuing Education and School of Political Studies. The forums will be flexible in format, taking the shape of interactive lectures, debates, panels and presentations with opportunities for audience participation and exchange.

Tickets cost:

  • $15 for the general public
  • $10 for CCA members / University of Ottawa faculty and staff
  • $ 5 for students
