The Value of Presenting workshop at CAPACOA conference in Toronto

posted on 12:26 PM, January 25, 2013

Three workshops there presented at CAPACOA over the last 2 days in Toronto. Participation was excellent with over 110 presenters, agents, artists, producing companies, funders, presenting network directors and related organizations participating. Conversations were lively and thoughful, discussions were vigorous. Project manager Inga Petri appreciated the buzz through the conference for our work together.

Here are the three presentations that were used during these workshops:

#1_WillWeBeReady (Live Performing Arts in 2020 – focus on technology) PDF

#2_PublicEngagement (Fresh look at demographics) PDF

#3_CulturePlace (focus on presenters, partnerships, communities) PDF

They are preparing summaries of discussions of each workshop and they will be posted them on the Value of Presenting website in the next few days. A full array of research undertaken as part of this study are available on the website – so check the document tab.

Many thanks to the organizers, workshops sponsors -SOCAN, Prairie Debut and Magnum Opus Management (MOM) – and all participants.
