Montréal, - Scapin Staging and Show Distribution announce changes in their leadership, effective as of January 1, 2018.
After leading both companies to their current level of excellence, Mr. Marc Desrochers has stepped down from the firm to pursue new interests. Mr. Desrochers founded Scapin Staging which successfully introduced new and versatile products to the entertainment industry. He later acquired Show Distribution which allowed him to offer a complete one-stop solution to clients.
Mr. Denis Lefrançois now assumes the role of CEO leading Scapin Staging and Show Distribution into an new era of continuing growth with significant investments in new technologies and markets.
"This change is designed to accelerate the execution of our strategy," said Mr. Lefrançois. "It will strengthen our ability to develop even more cutting-edge technologies to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers while delivering strong financial performance and drive growth in both rental and sales services. We are committed to improving technology and training by making important private investments and through our collaboration with the FICC.”
Since its inception, the FICC's mission has been to provide a financial partnership to companies creating, producing, and distributing cultural and communication products and services. The organization has invested in nearly 70 partner companies, with more than $72 million invested over 20 years.
Mr. Lefrançois continued, “Combining our management and financial resources with the financial support provided by FICC, ensures the future growth of both Scapin Staging and Show Distribution. This collaboration allows us to continue to provide world class products and services to the live entertainment, broadcast and special event markets locally, nationally and internationally.

About Mr. Denis Lefrançois
Denis Lefrançois is one of the founders and past president of Solotech Inc. Under his leadership, Solotech became the Canadian leader of sales and rental of audio, video and lighting equipment for live entertainment including broadcast, stadia and arenas, and corporate events.
He was instrumental in the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s decision to become a major shareholder in the company. Mr. Lefrançois has since sold Solotech to the Claridge investment fund. He continues to sit on several boards for non-for-profit corporations.
He recently joined the management team at Show Distribution to ensure the continued growth of the company.
