CITT 2015 Board Election Slate - preliminary nominations

The Nomination Committee has submitted to the National Board for approval the following members for 2015 board election:

President Elect – Adam Mitchell, Edmonton AB

Secretary – Elizabeth Wilkie, Edmonton AB currently Director at Large

Director at Large – Heather Lamb, Vancouver BC

Director at Large – Norberts J. Muncs, Montréal QC currently Past-President

Director at Large – Andrew Robinson, Toronto ON

Submission of Additional Nominations

Additional nominations for each position may be made by written nomination accompanied by the signatures of at least 4 members, verified as those of members in good standing. Such additional nominations shall be accepted for a period of 30 days from the publication of the preliminary slate above. Deadline to receive additional nominations is Monday May 11, 2015. Nominations may be sent to the National Office by email at

The Ballot

For any single vacancy, if there is not more than one nomination for that position, no ballot shall be required, and the person nominated shall be subject to approval of a vote representing at least two-thirds of the Board of Directors. The election ballot, if applicable, will be sent electronically by May 24, 2015 and be received at the National Office no later then June 23, 2015.

The Results

The announcement of the election results will be made during the Annual General Meeting Breakfast to be held on August 22, 2015 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

BIOGRAPHIQUES NOTES

PRESIDENT-ELECT
	ADAM MITCHELL - Edmonton AB Adam Mitchell has recently returned as the Operations Director for Fringe Theatre Adventures in Edmonton, Alberta. He spent the previous five years as the City of St. Albert's Cultural Facilities Manager, where he operated the Arden Theatre, along with production managing the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival, and the St. Albert Children's Theatre. Adam has an extensive background in theatre, festival and event production, with a particular interest in venue and environment creation and facility operations. He has been the Technical Director for the Edmonton and Winnipeg International Fringe Festivals, and spent a season as Technical Director at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg (2009-2010). Adam has a passion for creating unique audience experiences, and brings creative environmental solutions to the artistic process. A long time Edmonton resident and community member, Adam is a strong advocate of education, culture and community. Adam has had a longstanding history with CITT/ICTS. He has been an active board member of the Alberta section since joining in 2001 as a student of the University of Alberta's BFA Technical Theatre Program, and served the National Board as Member at Large or Provincial Section Representative (2003-2007), Secretary (2007-2008), and President (2009-2011). Adam is ecstatic to be given the opportunity to serve CITT members once again.
DIRECTORS AT LARGE
	HEATHER LAMB - Vancouver BC Heather has been a professional Production Manager and Technical Director for 16 years, and has since 2009 called Simon Fraser University’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts in beautiful Vancouver, home. A graduate of the Theatre Production Program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, and the Technical Production Program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, highlights of her career include Technical Director of the Montreal and Vancouver Fringe Festivals, Production Manager and Lighting Designer for the Bethlehem 2000 Project in Bethlehem Palestine/Israel, Venue Technical Director for the Just for Laughs Festival, Technical Director of Alberta Theatre Projects, Automations Manager and Senior Entertainment Technician for Carnival Cruise Lines, and Production Manager for MVKA Productions in Vancouver.
	ANDREW ROBINSON - Toronto ON Andrew Robinson got his start attending Ryerson University Theatre Production program while working in the live entertainment industry as a lighting technician and technical director. Now he works as a production manager and management consultant, specializing in start-ups and business development for small to mid-size companies. Andrew sits on board of directors for the CITT Ontario Section and has been involved with the Ontario Section for many years. He hates long walks on the beach unless the goal is a tiki bar.
