The sessions are designed for theatre technicians of all abilities, and others who would like to expand their knowledge of staging, lighting, audio and video in performance events. NEW TECHNOLOGY EXPO We have a number of manufacturers and distributers displaying new technology in a trade expo format. This is an opportunity to see cutting edge technology from around North America and the world, and speak to the experts in person. Factory specialists from major lighting, sound, video and staging companies will be on site to answer your questions, and provide hands on demos of all the newest equipment. Altman, ETC, Strand, Meyer Sound, Shure, Martin, Chauvet, and Rose Brand Drapery are all attending, with more suppliers joining every day. TECHNOLOGY SEMINARS We are offering a range of seminars for all levels of technical abilities. The seminars in audio, lighting, video, wardrobe, stage and production management will be presented by industry production personal with years of experience. There will be advanced technology subjects lead by local and North American experts, as well as seminars designed to give volunteer and amateur theatre technicians more knowledge in working on their own shows. A hot topic for theatre production and artistic staff, and one that many theatres struggle with is designing the show. We are happy to be able to present a major session to help address these issues. The Design Forum will showcase the work of award winning set, costume, lighting and sound designers who will be sharing their work, and thoughts on the process and development of designing a show. Learn tips and techniques to help you in your design process. This will be a chance to confirm what you are already doing right, and gather new ideas to make the process better in your productions. Bring your questions for the Q & A session at the end of this session. Parking is available in the Jubilee Parkade for $6.00 (tell the attendant you are attending a Jube event) Please complete the registration form here.
