Actsafe Gives Back is a program that will allow workers from the arts and entertainment industries who may have been struggling this year or need help with upgrading their safety training to access four training packages that they might not be able to afford during this time.
Whether you’re transferring from one industry to another, looking to start a career in arts and entertainment, or a veteran of the industry, Actsafe Gives Back has a training package for you.
The arts and entertainment industries continue to manage post COVID challenges as well as labour disruptions that have caused tight financial constraints for many of our workers and employers. Despite these challenges, many dedicated workers continue to expand their safety knowledge through our workshops and courses, and we would like to continue to provide these opportunities to those experiencing continued financial hardships.
Training Packages
Calling all Motion Pictures and Performing Arts industry workers! Actsafe is calling on you to nominate yourself or others to receive one of the following training packages.
- Maureen Kaake Welcome to the Industry Training Package: Motion Picture + Performing Arts
- The Basics for Security Workers: Security
- What Technicians Need to Know: Motion Picture + Performing Arts
- Experienced Worker: Motion Picture + Miles Muir Experienced Worker Performing Arts
The application period ends on December 31 at 11:59pm. Selected participants will be contacted before the end of February 2025.
There are a limited number of packages available, and they will be awarded based on qualifying criteria. Actsafe’s Safety Team will determine the successful applicants.
Successful applicants will have until June 30, 2024 to redeem their awarded training package.
