Job Description / Duties

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen is looking for a Wardrobe Supervisor for it’s 2019 - 2020 Touring Season. This is a full-time position starting August 19, 2019 to June 5, 2020.
Responsibilities include fittings, alterations and repairs, laundry, as well as supervision of the venues wardrobe person during the “Nutcracker” and “Anne of Green Gables” tours.
Updating paperwork for each ballet and detailed notes for costumes, venues wardrobe facilities and end of season notes.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The Wardrobe Supervisor will have good knowledge of repairing and cleaning techniques, proven skills as a qualified seamstress in a professional setting and prior theatrical costume experience.
Knowledge of wig maintenance would be an asset.
Will be self-motivated, able to work independently while also being a part of a small team and possess good organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A valid driver’s license is essential. Duties will also include driving production vehicles including 16’ box cube.
Must have a valid passport.
Bilingual (French & English) both written and spoken would be an asset.
Touring experience would be an asset.
Work will include evenings and weekends.

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen will be touring "Anne of Green Gables" to western Canada and eastern Canada with dates in Ontario and the States, “Nutcracker” in Ontario and "Velveteen Rabbit" to schools in the GTA.

Salary: $950 - $1000/week, to commensurate with experience
