Pacific Opera Victoria is seeking a Stage Manager to join its production team for the 2019-2020 Season. The successful applicant will be joining a resident production and stage management team in a vibrant and dynamic company that produces a diverse repertoire through innovative original productions.
The Stage Management position includes one engagement, a two province tour of the new opera Missing, composed by Brian Current and libretto by Marie Clements.
The engagement period is October 7 to November 17, 2019 (possible holdover to November 24, 2019).
Rehearsals and performances in Victoria BC, Regina SK, Prince George BC and Vancouver BC (TBA).
The ideal candidate will have confidence in stage management systems, be proficient in reading music, and demonstrate key leadership and organizational skills in an Equity, AFM and IATSE working environment. Applicants should have experience working in opera or musical theatre, and be a team player who demonstrates a keen interest in building positive relationships with artists, production and music staff.
This position shall be engaged under the auspices of The Opera Agreement, Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.
