Job Description / Duties

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen is seeking a Stage Manager for its 2019 - 20 Season for their theatrical events throughout the season with tours in Western Canada, Eastern Canada, Ontario and in the States.
The Stage Manager maintains communications with performers and all members of the production team.
Compiles and maintain blocking and cues.
Prop management, storage and minor prop repairs.
Supervises the house crew in each venue - both professional and volunteers - for rehearsal and performance.
Completes and distribute rehearsal and performance reports including set placement and props and venue information.
Attend production and crew meetings.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Completion of an accredited post-secondary program in technical theatre specializing in Stage Management or the equivalent combination (5 years or more) of stage management experience and education.
Must have theatrical and/or dance stage management experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
A strong team player, who also possesses the ability to work under their own initiative.
A high degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work well under pressure.
Working knowledge of current safety standards.
A valid driver’s license is essential. Duties will include driving production vehicles.
Must have a valid passport.
Touring experience would be an asset.
Bilingual (French & English) both written and spoken would be an asset.
