Job Description / Duties

Niscon Inc. is looking for someone who has experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing plant, scenic shop, running a jobsite, or working with project crews of 15 staff or more. The candidate will manage multiple projects and will lead, inspire, and motivate a growing team of friendly, hard-working, and passionate people with limitless potential.

You will work closely with our Project Management, Development, and Design Teams to play a key role in the progress of our projects with active engagement in planning and managing schedules and looking at the end goal from a different angle.

Quick to react and attentive to details your daily activities will include keeping the Production Shop Team focused, goal orientated, and supplied with information and materials. As part of the Management Team, you will attend weekly production meetings to provide progress updates.

Key responsibilities:
- To coordinate and manage production workload and resources across the Shop Department to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects – timelines, scheduling, processes streamlined, correct documentation.
- Monitor and steer workshop process development as required, ensuring compliance to all company health and safety standards.
- Daily/Weekly communication within and between project teams and other departments.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all production staff, design, development, and project management within Niscon.
- Undertake and support department-specific, non-project-based development and documentation.
- Keep up to date with current equipment and working practices.
- Ensure that any changes to projects are communicated to the Management Team or appropriate department.
- Work with Director of Operations on strategic planning and staffing of the Production Team.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualification & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience of working in technical/manufacturing/electrical engineering roles.
- 2+ years’ management experience in leading people.
- Inspiring personality that motivates the team.
- Extended skill sets are welcome and encouraged.
- Knowledge of motion control infrastructure topology.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in a workshop environment.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.

Additional Information

This position would suit a person with Technical Direction or Production Management experience looking to pivot into a manufacturing company working within different aspects of the Entertainment Industry.

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000
