In the role of PRODUCTION MANAGER or PRODUCTION COORDINATOR you will be part of the fastest growing AV and event production team anywhere in Canada. You are a committed, long-term career minded, motivated and results-driven individual who is ready to work in a busy, fun and exciting environment.

The PRODUCTION MANAGER or PRODUCTION COORDINATOR in TORONTO will contribute to the successful production management of our client’s events based out of our Toronto office through the effective management of all aspects of your assigned projects.

The successful candidate for the role of PRODUCTION MANAGER or PRODUCTION COORDINATOR will demonstrate strong communications and excellent people skills with extremely detailed organizational and time management abilities. By bringing one’s experience, ideas, skill, innovation and a passion, the successful applicant will achieve gratification and recognition for outstanding innovation and trusted production expertise. Our production management departs are renowned for being a model of efficiency, effectiveness and dependability.

The production department at MEDIACO is responsible for managing all show-related production needs, including concept, design, quoting, creative, pre‐production, onsite show execution and post-event follow-up.

• Event and technical production management
• Liaison with equipment manager, crew manager and sales including advance site visits
• Building equipment lists, quotes and audio, video, lighting, staging and technical system design
• Working with other departments for technical direction, creative content and operational needs for events
• Onsite crew delegation and active management of personnel
• Stage management, show calling and other event production leadership
• Quality control and consistency of The MEDIACO Way
• Customer/client service and support
• Post-event follow-up with technicians, equipment manager, crew manager and sales departments and client reporting and invoicing
• Travel, as required by events and clients
• Regular and full-time (Monday – Friday). On very rare occasions, responsibilities may require working outside of regular business hours, sometimes at short notice.
This position reports to the Executive Director, Event Production in Toronto.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Minimum 1-3 years (Coordinator) or a minimum of 2 years (Manager) experience in developing designs, concepts, creative and innovative a/v or event solutions for a wide variety of clients, needs and scenarios within the events, production, theatre, staging, audio visual or similar industry is mandatory.
• Experience or training within the audio visual media or related technologies in the special event, conference, meeting, entertainment or similar industry
• Strong interpersonal communications, organization and teamwork capabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and have the demonstrated ability to quickly master other specialized computer programs.
• Tremendous attention to detail.
• Effective and proactive problem solving skills.
• Exceptional time management and communication capabilities.
• An open, flexible and calm nature allowing for stress free management of last minute changes, often under very stressful circumstances.
• Be outgoing, personable and well groomed.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
