Job Description / Duties
The Position:
The Santa Claus Parade is looking for skilled Carpenters/ Builders and Painters. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. You must be able to lay out templates, measure and precisely carve and sculpt large pieces of Styrofoam. General carpentry skills are also an asset. Applicants must have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Please submit a portfolio/picture to showcase your work with your resume.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Carve and assemble Styrofoam props and sculpts to prepare them for painting
• Work alongside other artists to help with general carpentry and production needs
• Clear, respectful communication with team members
• Spray painting/airbrushing and maintaining spray equipment
• Maintain a clean workspace
• Leadership experience is a plus
Qualifications / Required Skills
Job Requirements:
• Standing, bending, lifting. This is an active role
• An eye for detail and quality control
• Have the ability to adapt, independently analyze problems, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Be proficient in carving and working with Styrofoam
• Prior experience in trades or fabrication, use of general handheld power tools such as reciprocating saw, jigsaw, router, etc.

Position Details
• Job Type: Seasonal Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt (37.5 + hours weekly)
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday (+overtime is a possibility based on production timelines and deadlines)
• Salary: Dependent upon experience
MUST be able to work November 25th and 26th.
Salary: starting at $18/ hour
