Job Description / Duties

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families, and communities. We offer a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and friendly individual to deliver memorable experiences to our customers at the Centennial Theatre.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
We are currently hiring for 3 positions - Cashiers, Door Attendants and Front of House Supervisor. You will be delivering excellent front line customer service experiences by managing operations as per the different role like front of house operations; ushering patrons, selling merchandise and reconciling cash; handling box office ticket sales; providing information to the public regarding performances and events. You are courteous and effective with the public in providing information and assistance regarding our theatre programs, activities and community events. You are able to make sound judgement calls and are able to respond quickly, calmly and efficiently to a variety of situations. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people and embrace change and challenges.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Preferred candidates will have LCB Serving It Right certification to provide support in the concession and bar area. First Aid certificate will be an asset. Previous customer service training and supervision experience is preferred along with cash handling and event and/or theatre experience. Availability to work days and evenings on weekdays and weekends.

All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check and References as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment.

Salary: The pay for these unionized positions ranges between $20.05 - $32.23 (as per the position hired for), plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
