The Cultural Coordinator will be part of the Culture & Creativity Theater team and he/she will be in charge of the coordination and administration of the performing arts productions and activities. The Cultural Coordinator will also be planning, scoping and scheduling all the operations of the theater. He/She will liaise internally within the King Abdulaziz Center’s components and Saudi Aramco to ensure efficient communication, policies compliance and implementation. He/She will be coordinating with national and international cultural venues, organizations and performing arts specialists to foster collaboration and exchanges.
The theater will offer stage performances rooted in community values and creations that enlighten and entertain audiences. Performances, films, lectures and forums will stimulate creativity and nurture Saudi talent.
The Theater is part of The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, which is a 21st Century iconic cultural facility that is multi-disciplinary, combining art and science with a mission focusing on advancing knowledge, creativity and cross-cultural engagement.
•Bachelor’s degree in performing arts or any related field.
•Knowledge and experience in theater administration, programming and production.
•Proven track record of successfully coordinating and administrating all aspects of theatrical and musical productions as well as educational activities.
•Vast knowledge of the international performing arts industry including centers, theaters, opera houses, organizations, educational institutions.
•Deep connections with performing arts troupes and companies, artists, designers and performers as well as key players in this industry.
•Proven track record in assisting in the creative process of shows.
•Strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, oral communication and public relations skills.
•Highly developed writing skills.
•A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of professional cultural programs in performing arts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the performing arts team in developing plans, schedules, scope of work and delivery of all activities and production elements.
Coordinate all aspects of the performing arts program in terms of administrating, scheduling, programming and budget control and ensure a successful implementation and operation.
Liaise internally with all Center and Saudi Aramco departments, divisions and components, to help execute the requirements of the program – communication, marketing, administrative approvals, contracting, transportation, governmental affairs and venue policies.
Compile media profiles, promotional materials and content as part of a comprehensive media package for all projects produced by performing arts.
Liaise with international performing arts community for booking, coordinating visits, workshops and touring shows.
Develop and maintain mailing lists, i.e. media, theater, schools, targeted audiences, etc.
Assist the Artistic Director during rehearsals.
Promote the theater and establish and maintain positive working relationships with all user groups.
