Job Description / Duties

Salary:
$20-$25 per hour, dependent on final job details and experience.

Hours & Dates:
Starting late May. Part-time in late May and June, ability to work remotely. Increasing to full-time July & August, requires being on-site in Kingston. Part-time early September for wrap-up, ability to work remotely. Evenings and weekends are required during the festival dates.

Position Summary:
The Associate Producer will report to the Artistic Producer, and work alongside senior staff to ensure the successful execution of The Kick & Push Festival. This role can be done in a remote or hybrid work environment until the festival start in July, at which point the role requires being on-site in Kingston, ON until the completion of the Festival in late August.

Key Relationships:
- Contact with artists, venues, sponsors, and other partners.
- Reports to the Artistic Producer.
- Constant contact with other staff positions.

Responsibilities:
- Managing relationships with sponsors, partners, and visiting artists.
- Collaborates on the writing of the final grant reports required for the 2024 season in conjunction with the Artistic Producer and Festival Administrator.
- Assists with development of donor & sponsorship opportunities.
- Assists the Artistic Producer with the processing of artist contracts and facility rentals.
- Works with the Marketing Director, Festival Production Manager(s) and - Board Members to ensure a master list of sponsors, volunteers and participants is kept up to date.
- Assisting the Artistic Producer with the sourcing and managing accommodations as needed for the festival as well as meeting the needs of all contracted artists.
- Assists the Artistic Producer with Liaison with the major partners of the K&P / KTA after the partnership agreements have been signed, ensuring completion of deliverables and strengthening of relationships on both ends.
- Assisting in grant writing and seeking new funding opportunities.
- Attending biweekly in-person meetings with festival stakeholders.
- Participating in regular online team meetings in advance of and during the festival.
- Contributing to the overall success of the festival by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess experience in producing, particularly in regards to arts festivals, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to take on diverse tasks, proficiency in GSuite systems, ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, and availability to work evenings and weekends when required. A valid Ontario G Driver’s License, a vehicle, boating license, and fluency in French are considered advantageous.
