Job Description / Duties
Pacific Opera Victoria is seeking Assistant Stage Managers to join its production team for the 2019-2020 Season. The successful applicants will be joining a resident production and stage management team in a vibrant and dynamic company that produces a diverse repertoire through innovative original productions.
The Assistant Stage Management position includes two engagements. Candidates may apply for one or both productions:
Il Trittico (Puccini): September 13 to October 27, 2019
Carmen (Bizet): March 20 to April 26, 2020 (possible additional performance on April 28, 2020)
Qualifications / Required Skills
The ideal candidates will have confidence in stage management systems, be proficient in reading music, and demonstrate key leadership and organizational skills in an Equity, AFM and IATSE working environment. Applicants should have experience working in opera or musical theatre, and be a team player who demonstrates a keen interest in building positive relationships with artists, production and music staff.
Additional Information
This position shall be engaged under the auspices of The Opera Agreement, Canadian Actors’ Equity Association, and salary commensurate with Point of Origin minimum fees.
