Best practices for producing, design, and production for racially diverse casts

Roundtable Discussion

Presented by Associated Designers of Canada

Producing, design, and production, all require different approaches when racial diversity is factored. In conjunction with Training the Eye, ADC presents a round table discussion exploring big picture budgeting and scheduling implications of diversifying programming and performers on our stages. Topics include: budgeting at the grant phase; thoughtful approaches to staging and scheduling additional time requirements; industry (community?) skills upgrading, and union practices around special skills.

After attending this presentation, attendees will have a better understanding of budgeting, staging, and scheduling requirements to support diverse casting.
