We are looking for a hands on technical director / project manager to be an integral part of our team. This is someone who is looking to use their talents and people skills to make an active contribution to a company, and be a significant part of its growth and success.
This person must understand the business of design/build, and be able to collaborate closely with our clients, and our designers, working towards the end goals of a project. You will be developing budgets and quotes, technical drafting, and be able to implement a project or a show independently, while adhering to a critical path and detailed schedule. A strong understanding of exhibit construction techniques, rigging and technical theatre, is a requirement. Working and coordinating with our shop and warehouse is a necessary function of this position. You will be responsible for overseeing installations, and organizing and running crews performing installations and strikes.
3 - 5 years experience in the event, exhibit, theatre, or film world is required. Technical theatre training at a College or University level may be considered an asset. Experience with tradeshows and exhibits would be an alternative. Ideally you would be experienced in vector works or auto-cad, excel, budgeting, quoting, and time management techniques. A functional knowledge of Adobe products would also be an asset. Please respond with resume
