Job Description / Duties

Permanent Position
*Important: position based in Montreal, Quebec

Reporting to the Senior Director, Touring Show Equipment, you will plan, coordinate and direct the production of various technical projects, while meeting the needs of touring shows and other department projects. To do so, it will be crucial for you to collaborate with all the internal and external Cirque du Soleil creative and technical stakeholders.

You will be known for:

- Establishing budgets for the projects and ensuring with the involved stakeholders that they are monitored;
- Developing timetables and overseeing technical production for each of your projects;
- Helping plan and implement the hiring plan for the various projects’ temporary teams;
- Planning and managing the work of project managers and draftspersons assigned to your projects;
- Helping with feasibility and budget studies for the department's various projects, as needed;
- Participating in different discussion and validation processes and guiding through these processes the Project Managers from the various production teams working on new touring shows;
- Stepping in when needed to solve problems or unforeseen events related to touring show equipment;
- Participating in the technical documentation and standardization of technical touring show equipment in collaboration with other members of the department;
- Helping with the research and development of technical touring show equipment elements.

Qualifications / Required Skills

We want to meet you if you have:

- Relevant training in show production
- Minimum of eight years of experience in the technical aspects of show production and/or touring show operations
- Solid experience in project management
- Experience in an international context
- The ability to supervise and lead work teams
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, an asset
- Availability to travel internationally
- A great fluency in French and English
