Job Description / Duties

Senior Technicians are part of a team of highly skilled technicians that operate and maintain the Cotai Arena, Venetian Theatre, Parisian Theatre, Sands Theatre, as well as support other Venues and Events within the Sands China properties. The Senior Technician is responsible for all department asset installation, operation, programming and maintenance, as well as functioning as a mentor for less experienced technicians including providing on-the-job training.

*Assist the Audio Technical Manager in organizing all audio requirements for upcoming events and production. This includes working with external clients and production companies to recommend and source the appropriate equipment to achieve the best possible results within the allowed budget.

*Setup and dismantle of all in house audio equipment for each event as required including but not limited to :

· L-acoustic PA system, including Rigging the PA equipment in the arena, and run all signal, power and network cabling required for the system to function.
· Calibrating PA system using SMAART live in order provide a professionally aligned system.
· Setup and prepare in house Mixing console systems including the DiGiCo SD7, DiGiCo SD10, Midas XL8, Midas Pro6, Digidesign D-Show, and Yamaha mixing consoles.
· Build and configure show communication systems including Riedel Matrix systems, Clear-comm party line systems, and Telex distributed antenna wireless communication systems.
· Rig, Cable, and Calibrate Meyer Sound MILO PA equipment.
· Design and calibrate Wireless Microphone systems according to the correct frequency coordination’s.
· Design and calibrate Shure and Sennheiser wireless monitoring systems according to the correct frequency coordination’s.

*Ensure department documentation such as preventative maintenance and repair logs, asset management, etc. are kept up to date.

*Ensure all Equipment is kept in optimum working order.

*Assist the Sr. Manager in Consulting for Sands China Ltd in regards to Entertainment Audio for Events and Productions.

* When Required, function as a FOH operator, Monitor operator, Stage/RF Tech During events as assigned by the Technical Manager.

*Deliver assigned Projects on a deadline.

*Quickly identify and mitigate any faults in the PA, FOH control, and communications systems during rehearsals and performances.

*Function as a mentor to new and inexperienced staff.

Qualifications / Required Skills

*In Depth understanding of design, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of large advanced audio systems including l-acoustics, Meyer Sound, DiGiCo, Midas, Riedel communications, clear comm, Telex distributed antenna systems.

*Must be a skilled Audio Front of House mixing, and Monitors mixing Engineer Using the in house DiGiCo, Midas, Digidesign, and Yamaha systems. Able to mix a full band to the highest standards and respond to specific requests from the artists quickly and proficiently. An in-depth understanding of Sennheiser, Shure and Telex, and Riedel Wireless Microphone, In Ear Monitoring, and Communications systems including signal path routing, patching, and frequency coordination is essential.

*Possess Strong Communication Skills in order to deal with an international clientele in a professional manner.

*Ability to work at heights including elevated work platforms, boom lifts.

*Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.

*Must be able to work under tight deadlines, overnights and weekends when required.

Additional Information

Successful applicant will need to qualify for a Macau temporary work permit. Requiring a valid Passport and a Criminal Record check. The Work permit approval process is done trough the Macau government and can take 3-5 months to complete.
