Come join Jenny Knott, Rosco paint product manage/scenic artist, and Wendy Waszut-Barrett, president of Historic Stage Services LLC/scenic artist, to get hands on practice and improve your painting skills over two days. Learn both contemporary and historic painting methods.
We will explore creating metallic effects for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional applications. This class will provide options for future projects, whether you are painting backdrops, props or costumes.

Jenny Knott has freelanced as a scenic artist for over 30 years, working for regional theatres including Missouri Rep (now KC Rep), Arena Stage, the Guthrie, Goodspeed Opera House, Scaena Studios, as well as union scene shops, film and television. She has been an artist in residence/instructor at the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana and the Smithsonian in Washington DC. Jenny is a member of United Scenic Artists 829, USITT and past member of USITT Board of Directors. She joined Rosco as their Paint Product Manager in July of 2003, traveling internationally to present seminars and workshops on scenic paint and coating techniques. Jenny continues to paint, keeping current with emerging scenic artists and new ways of approaching paint challenges. Let?s get creative and colorful.
Wendy Waszut-Barrett is the president of Historic Stage Services LLC. She specializes in the evaluation, restoration and replication of painted scenery. Trained in historical scene painting methodology and the dry pigment painting system, she had restored over five hundred historical backdrops throughout the United States for a variety of venues, including Masonic stages.
