Due Diligence for Dummies

Educational Session

Since 2004, criminal culpability for health & safety in the workplace has been codified in Canadian law. This means an organisation and certain people within that organisation can be held criminally responsible for safety violations, accidents, injuries, and worse. Your best defense is due diligence. But what exactly does that mean and what's your role?

After attending this presentation, attendees will be able to understand the legislated rights and responsibilities of everyone working within an organization. Looking at legislative differences between provinces, we'll compare and contrast laws and best practices to help improve your due diligence in the workplace.
