Grounding for Theatre Electrical Systems
Technical (Isolated) Grounding Best Practices

Educational Session

Technical ground, isolated ground, “clean power”; grounding for theatre electrical systems have many names and approaches depending on the recommendations provided by the audiovisual and electrical consultant. At Smith and Andersen, the audiovisual and electrical teams have spent years researching and refining this concept to ensure power for theatre systems are noise free and code compliant. This presentation provides the attendee the design features and a real-world implementation of a technical ground system.

After attending the presentation the attendees will have an improved understanding of electrical grounding and what to ask of their consultants when designing or upgrading their theatre electrical systems.
