Networking for Show Systems is a course for individuals with a solid understanding of the design and implementation of networks for show systems. The course will focus on advanced concepts as they relate to industry standard protocols, topologies, and hardware.

After attending this presentation, attendees will:

  1. Familiarize with IEEE protocols used in entertainment networking.
  2. Choose the appropriate networking Topology.
  3. Understand redundancy options.
  4. Identify differences between entertainment class switches.

Presenter: Robert Bell, Pathway Connectivity

Robert Bell is Director, Product Market at Acuity Brands and oversees the development the entire Pathway Connectivity product line including the VIA entertainment class Ethernet switches. Previously he has worked as a product manager for Strand and as brand ambassador for Vari*Lite. He’s well known for his involvement with WYSIWYG and as an author.
