What's New > Mentoring opportunities at Associated Designers of Canada
ADC currently has two mentoring programs for Canadian theatre designers.
Mentorship Program
ADC’s national paid mentorship program is a unique mentoring experience created for designers by designers. Mentees will receive a fee of $2,500 and mentors will receive an honorarium of $750. Applications are open to all, with a priority to those who identify as Indigenous, Black, Person of Colour, 2SLGBTQIAP, Deaf, Person with Disabilities, women, or intersections of any of the above.
Each successful applicant will have a dedicated mentor and work with them on at least one project from initial design discussions to opening night. The mentee and mentor will determine the nature of the working relationship based on each mentee’s needs and desired learning outcomes. The mentees are also provided the opportunity to meet and connect with the other mentees virtually throughout their time in the program.
Applications open: September 30, 2022
Applications close: October 14, 2022
Successful applicants announced: October 31, 2022
Training must be completed by: March 31, 2023
