Marshall Kidd
Marshall Kidd is a Technical Director working at Canadian Stage in Toronto (Tkaronto), Ontario, Canada. There he is proud to have led and collaborated on over 30 productions to date, many of which could be found in Toronto's leading and historic performance venues. During his time in the city, he has honed his managerial practice by overseeing a variety of performance styles including plays, musicals, dance performances and concerts. Marshall thrives on the creative problem-solving opportunities the industry presents and is always eager to work on the next innovative and inspiring production.
Marshall is a graduate of the Production Design and Technical Arts program at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS). He was grateful to have been mentored by outstanding industry professionals representing all aspects of theatre production. He credits his strong artistic and managerial foundation to NTS and continues to learn from his time spent at the school.
Prior to NTS, Marshall was a volunteer theatre technician at his high school and local community theatre. There Marshall grew his love and respect for the rigors of theatre and would often need to be pulled out of backstage at the end of a day. He took pride in going to great lengths to push the limits of what he, his fellow crew and small theatre were capable of.
When not in the theatre Marshall enjoys spending time outdoors. He can most often be found on a bike, repairing bikes or planning his next bike tour.
