The Event Services Assistant, organizes and coordinates all of the Front of House requirements for the Douglas J Cardinal Performing Arts Centre and GPRC facility bookings. This role is an integral part of the Event Services Team and collaborates to ensure all client and guest requirements are met. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe environment for each guest, patron and client; as well as recruiting, training and coordinating all event staffing. Guided by GPRC’s Vision, Mission and Values, Event Services creates and builds relationships through experience. Works with an ongoing commitment to service excellence, community partnership and ensuring our clients and guests have an exceptional experience when utilizing our facilities or enjoying our GPRC events.
The successful candidate will have one year post secondary education in a related field such as event coordination, performing arts or office administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in the role include:
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
ability to build strong relationships across the organization;
a high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability;
knowledge in theatre management and/or live event production
Flexible hours which may include some physical demand - event set up/tear down, long periods on your feet
knowledge of SOCAN, ReSound and AGLC an asset

Salary: $47,652.00 - $67,860.00
