Job Description / Duties

Working as an integral member of the production team of Theatre Aquarius, the Head Scenic Painter will provide efficient and reliable paint preparation and paint execution of all sets and props, all within the established budgets and schedules. The Head Scenic Painter will also act as Scenic Painter and Painter for Theatre Aquarius. This is a hands on position.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The position requires an individual who is highly motivated and organized.
Three to five years of professional theatre experience and knowledge of various paint techniques, materials and art forms is essential.
In addition to having excellent practical skills, the successful candidate must have an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment.

This is a union (IATSE #828) position.
Valid candidate must be a member in good standings.
