• candidates must have good skills in the following theatre disciplines
(will assist the lighting person/designer; good lighting skills required; experience with consistent re-hang/
re-focus is essential; experience running a lighting board is essential (manual equipment, ETC controller)
(will assist the sound person/designer; good sound skills required; experience with SFX, Q-Lab, and Sound Forge software is an asset; experience running a sound board is essential (manual equipment, PC, MacBook)
changeover and running crew
(safe changeover practices are essential; physically capable of handling set pieces is essential; experience in a repertory theatre setting is an asset)
• basic skill in the following theatre disciplines is an asset (may assist in these disciplines when required)
assistant stage management
carpentry (safe shop practices are essential)
• a valid driver’s license is an asset
The position is open to university/college theatre stagecraft students.
Students must have attended university/college for the 2015-2016 calendar year and be planning to return to university/ college for the 2016-2017 calendar year.
Approved overtime is paid as per Newfoundland Labour Standards (time and a half off in lieu with balance of overtime owing paid at end of contract at the base NL overtime rate of $15.75).
The Festival provides round trip travel (by most economical method) for successful applicants.
The Festival provides shared housing in the community for company members. A housing rental fee and housing deposit apply.
Salary: $475.00/week (based on a 40 hour week)

The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is a summer repertory theatre festival operated by Theatre Newfoundland Labrador. For its 2016 season, the Festival will produce seven productions – three on its Main Stage (three new productions), three on its Second Stage (three revival productions), and a special production in commemoration of Memorial Day. The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is located in the seaside community of Cow Head, Newfoundland and Labrador, which is situated in the spectacular Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
