As a member of our team you will be responsible for coordinating technical requirements and on-site representation of the Production Department at Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall and external venues as assigned.
•Interpret technical riders and prepare production estimates for Director’s approval
•Interpret technical riders and determine external rental vs house equipment requirements
•Obtain competitive quotes from external vendors and evaluate quotes for accuracy
•Advance, supervise and coordinate production details for room and auditorium events
•Schedule external stage managers for auditorium events
•Complete show and event settlements in a timely manner for approval by Director of Production
•Act as production department liaison with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra
•Reconcile petty cash, and expense reports as required
•Reconcile and file weekly production payroll
•Order parts and supplies for the department
•Coordinate Production maintenance at both Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall as required
•Order, coordinate and supervise the installation of communication lines
•Create and edit AutoCAD drawings to advance events
•Post-secondary education with 3-5 years demonstrated experience in coordinating production
•Previous experience in a unionized environment and ability to interpret collective agreements considered and asset
•Results oriented and proactive, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently
•Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and relationship building skills
•Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote, CRM and Outlook
•Knowledge of video production systems and A-V presentations considered an asset
•Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset
•Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend hours and holidays, as required
