An exciting opportunity to work, live and sail with a company of theatre artists from across Canada, the US and UK, doing an experimental opera/spectacle theatre called 'Nomadic Tempest'. This show features aerial artists performing as Monarch butterflies that sing in english, spanish, mandarin, arabic and hǝn̓q̓ǝmin̓ǝm̓, a Coastal Salish language.
• Identify local media for coverage, interviews & sponsorship
• Identify local organizations for cross-promoting
• Consistently post photos and updates of Caravan Stage Company through Social Media
• Press Releases: Work in collaboration with Tour Coordinator
• Crew on ship, member of a watch team while sailing – 4 hours on, 8 hours off.
Interviews will be held in Vancouver and Victoria. Applicants send a letter of interest & CV.
Good communication & writing skills. Experience with social media: FB, Instagram and Twitter. Some experience with theatre or non-profit arts organization, preferred.
Have your own computer with excellent internet skills.
Well organized, hard working, flexible & able to work
independently as well as in a team or under guidance
Have an adventurous spirit & sense of humour.
Enjoy working and living in a communal setting on a ship with 19 artists and theatre people.

Salary: Travel expenses+ plus room & board + weekly cash stipend (NB: The entire cast & crew all receive equal share and benefits). Room is a shared cabin on the ship. Board is healthy meals cooked by a Chef.

This company, originally horse-drawn, toured the back roads of BC and performed in a large tent, is returning with the theatre ship after a 30 year absence from touring the east coast, USA, Europe and the Mediterranean.
