Job Description / Duties

Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular 2015

Role:

  • Design lighting for Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular 2015. 
  • Work alongside Director, Choreographer and Lighting Consultant. 
  • Design the show at the Cedar Community Hall so that it can transfer to Sid Williams and Port Theatre. 
  • Assist with full Lighting hang at Cedar Hall and other two venues. 
  • Coordinate lighting technician to assist with hang at Cedar if needed. 
  • Ability to read music score an asset but not crucial. 
  • Coordinate lighting move/set-up between different venues. 


This year's singing and dancing extravaganza includes hits by the Beach Boys, a Rock of Ages medley, Bobby Darrin songs, songs from Grease and Moulin Rouge, a Canadiana set as well as many more classical hits and Christmas favourites.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Professional experience as a Lighting Designer

Contract Dates - 3 venues:
Nov 22 & 23 (Cedar Community Hall full set-up and hang)
Nov 24 – Dec 3 – (Cedar Community Hall – 4-5 days flexible dates/times TBD)
Dec 8 (Sid Williams - Courtenay)
Dec 17, 18 (Port Theatre – Nanaimo)

*PAID contract – TBD
*Lighting Designer will work alongside Lighting Consultant (Designer from previous productions)
Director - Katy Bowen-Roberts

Salary: TBD
