The faculty member will teach 4-4 courses in stagecraft and technical direction and provide equivalent creative service. The candidate will work with the staff of the Design and Technology area and the Department in fulfilling its professional training and educational mission and participate on university, college, and departmental committees.
The Department seeks candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications: MFA or other terminal degree in Theatre; experience in theatre technology with leadership responsibilities and college teaching experience or significant professional experience. All candidates must have good organizational and communication skills and experience in some combination of the following areas: scheduling and budgeting, welding/metal technology, scenographic engineering, mechanical design, automation control, and/or stage rigging.
