Dataton Academy is a comprehensive two-day class that covers the latest WATCHOUT developments and tools for creating spectacular multi-display shows. Dataton Academy is appropriate for beginners, as well as experienced users interested in enhancing their WATCHOUT skills and proficiency. WATCHOUT training covers basic and advanced topics and is designed to give attendees a clear understanding of WATCHOUT – its strengths, key features, applications, and possibilities. In this hands-on interactive class, you will be able to hone previous skills while learning new ones, workflow solutions, and common trouble shooting practices.

Instructor: Ian D. Johnson, ShowSage lead trainer and product specialist
 

Ian Johnson’s Chicago-based professional career began in 2008. He is a seasoned super-user of WATCHOUT having experience as a user, operator, and trainer since 2010. He started working for Show Sage, Dataton’s Premium Partner for North America, in late 2015. At Show Sage, he is the lead trainer and a product specialist for the full Dataton product range. Johnson is a passionate instructor, and is highly motivated to pass his unique experience and knowledge to professionals, students, and teachers to invigorate and bolster the AV community. Some notable theatrical credits include: The Goodman Theater, Lyric Opera House, and projections designers Elaine J. McCarthy and Sage Carter.
