What's New > Monique Corbeil to step down from CITT/ICTS National Coordinator position
In August of this year, CITT/ICTS received notice from Monique Corbeil that after nearly 19 years of service, she would not be renewing her annual contract as our National Coordinator at the end of 2023.
Having navigated the difficult balance of assisting family and the needs of her position in CITT/ICTS for a significant time, Monique has made the difficult but understandable choice to focus more on caregiving for her loved ones. Monique will retain her role of EXPO-SCÈNE’s coordinator to present the 10th anniversary of this show to Montreal in April 2024.
As President and on behalf of the rest of the CITT/ICTS Board of Directors, I would like to thank Monique for her many years of dedicated service to our organization. Her leadership has helped guide CITT/ICTS through some very lean times. She stepped into the role from the Board in an interim position in February of 2005 and became full-time later that same year. She helped us navigate challenges and generated a new revenue source by bringing the EXPO-SCÈNE trade show under our belt. This event alone has helped us balance our books and has given us the opportunity to provide more programming to our membership.
Monique also helped us survive the upheaval, uncertainty, and challenges of COVID-19, finding innovative methods and resources allowing us to keep the national office open and finances in check so that we could continue in our mission of serving the Canadian live performance community.
Monique has been a diligent and hard worker who has always put CITT/ICTS first. She has been the face of the institute to outside agencies as well as at conferences and events, and her departure will be noted both inside and outside our organization. It shall be a different place once she has moved on. On behalf of the board, national office staff and all our membership, please join me in wishing Monique well in her future endeavours - including looking forward to seeing her at future events as an ongoing member of CITT/ICTS.
In service, Paul A. Del Motte
CITT/ICTS President
