Location: Confederation Centre of the Arts, Sobey Family Theatre
This 2 day course with instructor Brian Kenny, focuses on the programming and operation of Q Lab software for Mac which is widely used in the field of theatrical sound and video design.
Brian Kenny is a designer for theatre from Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador and is a graduate from The National Theatre School of Canada and Sheridan College. Selected credits include: Fall On Your Knees (Vita Brevis Arts), Come From Away in concert (Mirvish, Marquis Ent), Billy Elliott, The Rocky Horror Show, The Music Man, Little Shop of Horrors (Stratford Festival), Elf, Grow, Mary Poppins (The Grand Theatre), Everybody Just C@lm The F#ck Down, Between Breaths, The Colony of Unrequited Dreams [Artistic Fraud of Newfoundland], Dear Rita [Confederation Centre of the Arts]. Brian is a board member of the IATSE Local 659, The Associated Designers of Canada.
These courses are open to all performing arts workers and offered at no cost as part of the trainings the IATSE is providing through the CPAWRF.
