CATR 2025 Conference: Call for Papers and Sessions On Interiority: Staging the Liminal

The Canadian Association for Theatre Research (CATR) is soliciting proposals for papers and sessions for its 2025 hybrid conference, hosted in two parts: online on May 26–27, 2025, through TheatreAgora.ca, and in person on June 25–28, 2025, at the Atlas° Hotel in Regina, Saskatchewan, and the University of Regina.
We look forward to hosting you on Treaty 4 Territory, where the capital city’s creative community and the University of Regina’s Department of Theatre are undergoing cultural renewal, and at an especially beautiful time of the year—just after the summer solstice, when Regina experiences over sixteen hours of sunlight each day.
CATR invites paper and session proposals in English and French from scholars and artists at any career phase. Submissions are welcome on any subject relating to drama, theatre, dance, performance studies, and related pedagogies, especially with a focus on our 2025 conference theme: interiors, exteriors, and the liminal tension that distinguishes them.
