The Metcalf Foundation strengthens the performing arts through paid internships. These rich learning opportunities for individuals also encourage arts companies to foster leadership and respond to skill shortages in critical areas. Individuals who complete internships have more knowledge, better skills, broader work experience, and useful contacts in order to gain meaningful and sustainable employment while making a strong professional contribution to the performing arts.
Internship grants are for the intern’s complete salary and statutory benefits to a maximum of $36,000 for a full-time, 10-month long internship.
