Job Description / Duties

Includes, but is not limited to:
- to adhere to the wardrobe build schedule (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- the acquisition (stock, borrow, or costume/materials purchase) and building of costumes for all Festival productions and events (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to administrate the part of the Festival’s production budget designated for wardrobe (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to supervise the Production Assistant(s) when working in the wardrobe department – to mentor, to delegate daily work, and to manage work schedule (all in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to provide rehearsal costumes for all the Festival productions and events
- to provide costume maintenance for all Festival productions and events (laundry, ironing, and repair) - and prepare a PA to take over these duties
- to prepare and update all wardrobe paperwork by the end of contract – including costume lists, costume plots, costume presets, laundry instructions, borrows/returns lists, and wardrobe inventories

Qualifications / Required Skills

- experience working in Wardrobe roles an asset
- fully vaccinated according to NL standards (2 doses)

Salary: $575-$700/wk, commensurate with experience - based on 40hr work week (approved overtime compensated according to NL Labour Standards)

The Gros Morne Theatre Festival is a summer repertory theatre festival operated by TNL (Theatre Newfoundland Labrador). For its 2022 season, the Festival will produce six productions – two on the Fortis Theatre main stage (one new production, one remounted production) and four on its BMO Studio Stage (two remounted productions, two new productions).
