Job Description / Duties

This introductory position gives the candidate a great overview of everyday activities within the wardrobe department. This seasonal full-time position reports to the Costume Director, or designate, and is part of the Wardrobe Department team.

Responsibilities:
•Coordinates, monitors and maintains fitting room areas.
•Assists in sewing tasks as required.
•Assist in both wardrobe and crafts areas as required.
•Provides cutters and design teams with items required for fittings.
•Ensures fitting rooms and storage areas are fully stocked and tidy.
•Works with the Costume Buyers to complete notions inventory.
•Tidy and help maintain fabric stock.
•Work with design teams to move large costume racks.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
•Post-secondary diploma, equivalent education or experience in costume construction is an asset.
•Professional sewing experience required.
•Organized with a strong ability to multi-task.
•Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
•Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently.
•Must be available to work 40 hours per week plus overtime when required.

Preference will be given to candidates with professional sewing experience.

This Full Time Seasonal Contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin February 22, 2022.

Hourly Rate: $16.00
