Job Description / Duties
Rising Tide Theatre is seeking an in-house theatre technician for our winter activities. The successful candidate will assist in preparation for the upcoming summer season, as well as participate in our Digital Archival Project which involves developing video material from some of our previous shows over the last 45 years. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience in both lighting and sound. Design capabilities are a strong asset.
Duties:
- Hang, focus, set up, and strike all equipment in rotation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work both as part of a team and individually
- Operate the lighting board
- Troubleshoot any issues with the lighting and sound systems
- Operate tour Behringer X32 soundboard
- Set up and operate lavalier mics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A strong team player, who possesses the ability to work under their own initiative
- Knowledge of standard lighting equipment and software such as ION Xe 20 Console, QLAB, etc.
Additional Information
START DATE: January 8th, 2024
These activities may span a three month period, with a possibility for extension. However a shorter contract can be negotiated.
REQUIRES RELOCATION TO TRINITY, NL. HOUSING IS PROVIDED
