Job Description / Duties

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families, and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and friendly individual to deliver memorable experiences to our customers as a Theatre Technician at the Centennial Theatre.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

You will deliver excellent customer experiences at the Centennial Theatre with load in and set up, operating lighting and/or sound equipment for a diverse range of performances under the supervision of a Technical Supervisor.

Qualifications / Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

You have experience with rental theatre procedures and the setup of a live event. Considerable experience with operating ETC Eos lighting consoles, moving lights and other LED fixtures, as well as traditional incandescent lights is required. An aptitude for busking is a valuable asset. Training on the use of scissor-lifts and general rigging is also an asset.

Additional Information

All employees are required to submit a Police Information Check prior to appointment.

Work is assigned on an on-call basis and is subject to seasonal demands, with the busier times being March to June and November to December.  Additional calls may occur depending on the skill set of the applicant. Candidates must be prepared to work evenings and weekends.

Salary: $28.00 per hour, rate varies based on education and experience.
