Job Description / Duties

Includes, but is not limited to:
- to execute sound designs for Festival productions when required
- shall be responsible for presenting the required sound plot and associated paperwork as is necessary to execute the sound design to the Technical Director, per the design deadlines as per the production schedule
- to remount sound for Festival production when required
- the acquisition (stock, borrow, purchase), building, and setting up of sound elements for all Festival productions and events (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to administrate the part of the Festival’s production budget designated for sound (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to act as Sound Board Operator for Festival productions and events when required (to be determined by the Technical Director)
- to supervise the Production Assistant(s) when working in the sound department – to mentor, delegate daily work, and to manage their work schedule (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to prepare audio recordings of Festival productions and events for archival and promotional purposes when required

Qualifications / Required Skills

- experience working in Sound Design and/or Technician roles an asset
- fully vaccinated according to NL standards (2 doses)
- NL certified fall-arrest/skyjack training an asset

Salary: $575-$700/wk, commensurate with experience - based on 40hr work week (approved overtime compensated according to NL Labour Standards)
