Job Description / Duties

EPiQVision Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Production Manager who, under the direction of the Director of Operations, will primarily be responsible for managing the AV operations at one of the companies properties in downtown Toronto and working alongside the EPiQVision and venue sales and events teams to plan and execute events.

This person will be working at one of the company’s properties in downtown Toronto and working alongside the EPiQVision and venue sales, operations, and events teams to plan and execute events. This person must be self-motivated, open-minded, creative, detail-oriented, have a strong understanding and interest in technology, and be able to talk to clients on the phone, by email, and in person.

- Manage daily technical operations for events
- Book labour for all events (create, schedule, update)
- Schedule and manage AV staff hours
- Review and submit AV staff hours on a bi-weekly basis for invoicing
- Track all labour costs for P&L
- Create and organize pull sheets from confirmed jobs
- Create and organize event folders and paperwork for crews and operators
- Ensure house patching is correctly setup for events; changes are labelled and noted and reset properly
- Collect, organize, and distribute event agendas, run of shows, and content from clients
- Plan and organize logistics for off-site gear including managing loading dock bookings
- Maintain a strong system of organization and maintenance of in-house equipment
- Provide and maintain excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external clients and venue staff
- Train freelance operators on venue AV systems and troubleshooting
- Provide and maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication
- Understand company policies and procedures as well as the venue’s policies and procedures
- Manage Health & Safety onsite for EPiQVision
- Ensure that inspection forms and daily reports are completed and submitted
- Attend weekly venue BEO meetings
- Conference weekly with warehouse regarding pull sheets and trucking logistics
- Attend site visits as requested and have knowledge to sell clients on AV equipment
- Attend weekly meetings with sales manager to review upcoming events
- Supervise full-time AV staff under your direction
- Meet with AV staff monthly to discuss their performance and progress
- Assist with finding creative ways to improve the technical operations
- Assist with IT requests and services

Qualifications / Required Skills

- Post-secondary education in event production or equivalent training
- Minimum 3 years of production management experience or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of lighting, audio, video, staging, and rigging practices
- Extensive experience creating production schedules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience working with leading large crews
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Flexible customer service oriented attitude with a commitment to supporting a variety of events
- Diplomatic written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills with clients and vendors
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- CAD experience and skills is an asset
- Knowledge and experience of rigging AV equipment is an asset
- Knowledge and experience of Flex Rental Solutions is an asset
- Working at Heights and Lift Certification and training is an asset
- Knowledge of current Safety Guidelines for the Live Performance Industry in Ontario is an asset
- Knowledge of current municipal, provincial, and federal workplace health & safety regulations is an asset
- Knowledge of current Fire and Building Codes is an asset
- Knowledge of current ESA, AODA, OHSA is an asset
- Valid driver's license and vehicle is an asset

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 / year, based on experience
