Job Description / Duties

The Project Manager/Production Coordinator will work in direct collaboration with the Artistic Director and the Producer determining the specific content of the exhibition and assisting with and coordinating all aspects of the development and production process including:

• Research – including both historical and image research.
• Coordination duties - including scheduling, attending meetings, tracking budgets, and preparing contracts.
• Human resources – collaborating on the search and engagement of artistic and technical collaborators including planning, hiring and scheduling.
• Liaising with Artistic Direction and Designers during the development and production phases of the project.
• Possibly assisting in the preparation of grant applications to diverse arts councils.
• Assisting in monitoring contractual agreements and relationships with creative team, artists, partners and suppliers as required.
• Acting as a mentor to individuals invited as interns, assistants or shadows should it be applicable during the life of the project.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The successful candidate needs to have experience in research, organisation and production.

Additional Information

The position is available immediately and ideally a fulltime temporary position. However for the right candidate there is the possibility of flexibility in scheduling AND the possibility that the temporary position could become permanent.

Length of contract: Immediately until May
Location: Montreal and virtually

Salary: Starting wage is $25. per hour.

Sky Walkers- Connections/Ronskwaketskwas will offer a glimpse into the fascinating culture of Mohawk ironworkers in a multifaceted, interactive exhibit that illustrates its history and evolution. It will be a rare opportunity for audiences to discover and experience the lives of these unheralded daredevils - their risks, their skills - and how the Mohawk have contributed enormously to building the skylines of Turtle Island (North America.)
