Job Description / Duties

Includes, but is not limited to:
- to execute lighting designs for Festival productions when required
- shall be responsible for presenting the required lighting plot and associated paperwork as is necessary to execute the lighting design to the Technical Director, per the design deadlines as per the production schedule
- to remount lighting for Festival productions when required
- the acquisition (stock, borrow, purchase), building, and setting up of lighting elements for all Festival productions and events (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to supervise the Production Assistant(s) when working in the lighting department – to mentor, delegate daily work, and to manage their work schedule (in consultation with the Technical Director)
- to provide lighting maintenance for all Festival productions and events - and prepare a PA to take over lighting maintenance

Qualifications / Required Skills

- experience working in LX Design and/or Technician roles an asset
- fully vaccinated according to NL standards (2 doses)
- NL certified fall-arrest/skyjack training an asset

Salary: $575-$700/wk, commensurate with experience - based on 40hr work week (approved overtime compensated according to NL Labour Standards)
