Job Description / Duties

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and is part of the Human Resources team. The Health Screener plays a key role in ensuring the Health and Safety of our staff by monitoring and screening for all employees, contractors, visitors and artists entering our facilities.

Responsibilities:
• Complete health checks using an online screening tool
• Screen all persons entering the facility for COVID-19-like symptoms
• Adhere to necessary policy and procedures related to wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain flow at screening entrance to ensure physical distancing
• Complete data entry, typing and other administrative tasks as required
• Communicate with various areas within the organization to determine employee, contractor, visitor and artist eligibility to enter
• Follow public health and Ministry of Health updates with the screening tools

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
• Successful completion of a high school diploma
• Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED certificate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Sound judgment and conflict management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and interruptions effectively
• Sound computer expertise including Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
• Demonstrated ability to use good judgment
• Ability to travel between two different work locations throughout the day

Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience in a similar setting. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. Core hours for this position will be from 6:45am-7pm with the possibility of evening work.

Additional Information

This part-time contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin as soon as possible until the end of October, with the possibility of extension.

Hourly Rate: $18.00
