Job Description / Duties

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families, and communities. We offer a wide range of recreation and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and friendly individual to deliver memorable experiences to our customers at the Centennial Theatre.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
You will be delivering excellent front line customer service experiences by managing the front of house operations. You are courteous and effective with the public in providing information and assistance regarding our theatre programs, activities and community events. You are able to make sound judgement calls and are able to respond quickly, calmly and efficiently to a variety of situations. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people and embrace change and challenges.

ABOUT YOU
You are a team player committed to community. You will be responsible for coordinating Front of House services for Theatre shows and events as well as overseeing concession operations and staff supervision of concession Cashiers, Door Attendants and Ticket Takers. You are a strong communicator, and have leadership qualities. You are comfortable with tasks such as scheduling, training, ordering, and inventory management. You will participate with the team in providing excellent audience service and overall show experience by following all the safety rules.

Qualifications / Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
LCB Serving It Right certification is required. First Aid certificate training is desirable. Previous customer service training and experience is preferred along with cash handling and some supervision experience. Availability to work days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check and provide references as a requirement of the position.

This is an auxiliary position which may involve shift work including days, evenings and weekends with a possibility of extended shifts. Hours vary with show shifts.

Salary: The pay for this unionized position ranges between $27.43 - $32.23 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
