Job Description / Duties

The Front of House Coordinator is responsible for the operation of the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts Front of House areas (box office, lobby, auditorium, and other public areas) and the hosting of all Centre and Rental shows (Hospitality/Event Planning). The FOH Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the quality of experience for the patrons, clients, and users of the Centre.

The Front of House Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager, and works in conjunction with the administrative and technical staff. The Front of House Coordinator uses their experience and skills to ensure an efficient, smooth and safe presentation of all events happening at the EA Rawlinson Performing Arts Centre. The Front of House Coordinator works closely with the Production Manager and oversees advancing all hospitality, accommodations and merchandising for Centre presented shows and rentals. The Front of House Coordinator also works with the Box Office staff, the Volunteer Company, and the Marketing and Events Coordinator.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Education, Training & Experience:
• Degree or diploma from an accredited institution with a focus on event management; or a minimum of five years professional related experience in the arts and entertainment industry.
• Experience with and knowledge of theatre operations and protocols is required.
• Experience in Stage management and understanding of production management is an asset, as is a knowledge of technical theatre basics.

Key Knowledge, Technical Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to represent the EA Rawlinson Centre in a professional, inclusive and welcoming manner at all times.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ticketing & event software (ex. Theatre Manager)
• Must be able to work daytime, evenings and weekends.
• Class 5 driver’s license.

Salary: $3,950.00 - $4,802.00/Month

The E A Rawlinson Centre is the hub of arts and cultural activities in Prince Albert. It houses both the Mann Art Gallery and the John G. and Olive Diefenbaker Theatre. The facility is owned & operated by the City of Prince Albert. The Mann Art Gallery organization is governed by a separate Board of Directors and membership.
